Nizar come from Kuala Lumpur, a new city in the South Asia. If you love the “new” you can visit the twin towers and enjoy their panoramic view on the city, or choose the night-life in Starhill. If you love the nature the city has many natural garden: the Botanic, the Butterfly, the Birds, the Deers and Lake gardens.
But specially you can find Chinese-Indian-Indonesian cultures in just one country!

“Very french-canadian recipe” says Frankie about the Poutine: take a bowl of french-fries and put on the top some salty cheese and gravy souce. That’s it!

Ogopogo: the canadian lake monster

Brittany has never seen the Ogopogo, but says that on the Okanagan lake shore you can see the sculpture of the monster. Its like a snake, as the Lockness monster, but is canadian so better!

Mannaken Pis in Brussels… Naughty kid!

A class from Liege, Belgium, told us the legend of the statue “Mannaken Pis”, a bronze sculpture in the centre of Brussels that represents a boy who pees. There are several legends behind the statue, the one we know is that this boy could put out with his pee-pee a fire set by enemies (and saved the city). The legend is about the independence of mind, good impertinence and semplicity of Belgians. And this features are all true 😉

Una classe di Liege, Belgio, ci ha raccontato la leggenda legata alla statua “Mannaken Pis”, una scultura di bronzo situata nel centro di Bruxelles che rappresenta un ragazzino che fa la pipì. Ci sono molte leggende legate a questa statua, quella che conosciamo noi narra che il ragazzo riuscì a spegnere un incendio appiccato dai nemici facendoci la pipì sopra (e salvando così la città). La leggenda parla della spregiudicatezza, indipendenza d’animo e semplicità dei Belgi, e questi caratteri ci sembrano tutti veri 😉

The bavarian Wolpertinger – Il Wolpertinger bavarese

The Wolpertinger is a legendary animal that allegedly lives in the alpine forests of Bavaria. Many thanks to Bettina, Lisa and Ami, three girls from Munich that explained as that every year hundreds of people arrive in the city to try to catch the mythical animal, traditionally described as a rabbit with wings and horns.  Someone will be able..??? 😀

Il Wolpertinger è una chimera che secondo la leggenda vivrebbe nelle foreste alpine della Bavaria. Ringraziamo Bettina, Lisa e Ami, tre ragazze di Monaco che ci hanno spiegato come ogni anno giungano in città centinaia di persone per provare a catturare il mitico animale, raffigurato tradizionalmente come un coniglio con ali e corna. Ce la faranno mai…??? 😀

Naples: who sees it once, always comes back!

Naples is: beautiful places, many legends and good food.
You have to visit San Martino, the Maschio Angioino, Castel dell’Ovo, Church of Santa Chiara with the Amalfi’s majolica, Church of Gesù and many more. There is the traditional cult of San Gennaro: once a year in memory of the beheading of San Gennaro, the patron saint of the city, all the faithful of the city pray to dissolve the blood of San Gennaro (the solidified blood is kept in a reliquary in the Cathedral throughout the year). Changing the subject, in Naples you can taste the best coffee, with the tipical sweet “babà” or “pastiera”.

Napoli è: bei luoghi, molte leggende, buon cibo.
Si può visitare San Martino, il Maschio Angioino, Castel dell’Ovo, la Chiesa di Santa Chiara con le maioliche di Amalfi, la chiesa del Gesù e molto altro. C’è inoltre il tradizionale culto di San Gennaro: una volta all’anno in memoria della decapitazione di San Gennaro, il santo patrono della città, tutti i fedeli della città si ritrovano per pregare al fine di sciogliere il sangue di San Gennaro (il sangue solido viene conservato in una teca al Duomo durante il resto dell’anno). Cambiando decisamente argomento, a Napilo si può gustare il miglior caffè, con i dolci tipici “babà” o “pastiera”.
